SANILAC COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY
WE ARE AN INDEPENDENT NO-KILL SHELTER.
Otis & Milo are two Senior dogs who are buddies in need of a forever home. Could you be the person to provide that for them? Come & meet these sweet dogs:)
Send us your e-mail address to receive updates and newsletters from us.
SCHS is a private non-profit humane agency caring for more than 1,200 animals each year and relies solely on private donations. If you donate money to Michigan Humane or to the Humane Society of America, you are not donating to us. The only way we keep our doors open is by monthly donations that are given to us by people like you. If we could get only 400 people to have $20.00 donated from their credit card or from their checking account monthly, it would keep our doors open all year!!!! Depending upon availability, we take in adoptable cats and dogs with prior approval.
Strut Your Mutt challenge 2014
Sanilac County Humane Society is a no-kill animal rescue founded in 1996. We moved into our building in 2003 and have continued to support programs that promote spay/neuter and to date have altered over 4,000 barn/feral cats. Each year we adopt approx 250 dogs and cats, providing them with all the medical care, training, and love they need while they await their forever homes.
We are participating in Strut Your Mutt to raise money that will go directly back into our community to be used to fund adoption programs and spay/neuter services, ultimately impacting the number of pets entering and leaving the shelters.
Please support our efforts in the 2014 Strut Your Mutt by donating to our page. Your donation is tax-deductible and our organization keeps all monies raised (after transaction fees), including registration fees.
Together, and through your support, we can Save Them All®.
Thank you for your support:)

We are selling these bracelets for $9.00 a piece. They say, "Adopt, Don't Shop." The bracelets are adjustable and the material is a cloth/nylon. You can purchase them at the Sanilac County Humane Society or we can mail them to you.
Here are some of our dogs and cats that have found happy homes. As you can see, we have many different breeds and colors coming to us. Click the "Adopt a Pet" link above to see who we currently have for adoption.
